Ovenfried Firecracker Mushrooms

Ovenfried Firecracker Mushrooms
- 2 servings of Ovenfried (Button or Baby Bella) Mushrooms (method can be found in Plant Taste and Fried "Chicken" digital cookbooks)
- 1 tsp five spice
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 2 tablespoons of Sriracha
- 1-2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon of honey, agave, or sweetener of choice
- 1 teaspoon of molasses
- Salt
Prepare oven-fried mushrooms according to book directions, being sure to add five spice and onion powder to the flour mixture. Mix together the firecracker sauce ingredients. Taste and adjust heat, acidity, and sweetness to taste.
Remove the mushrooms from the oven, and add them to the bowl of sauce. Coat generously before returning the mushrooms to the lined baking sheet. Bake for an additional 5 to 10 minutes, and remove. Enjoy with fried rice and stir fried veggies.
